Yasser Seirawan title

A rare slip by Anatoly Karpov in the opening, allows Yasser Seirawan to win a piece, and he exploits this early advantage precisely and energetically. This was the first tournament victory by a Syrian-American over a reigning world champion since Arthur William Dake defeated Alexander Alekhine at Pasadena in 1932.
