WCC 1972 title

 Reykjavik, Iceland / July 16/17, 1972 / Game #3

FIDE President Max Euwe, ratified Spassky's victory in the game two and warns Fischer that a failure to show up for the third and fourth game, the match will be over and Boris Spassky will retain the Championship. After an international uproar that included a rare intervention from the US Department of State by Henry Kissinger, Fischer accedes to continue the match two hours before the time set for the third game. Bobby Fischer wins in forty one moves.
