I am responding to
(Gus ;-),
whose e-mail, dated 12/17/01 4:42:18 PM Mountain Standard Time,
asked who wrote, "He who takes the QNP (walks the streets)..."
I believe that the actual quote is,
"He who takes the Queen's Knight's pawn will sleep in the
streets!" At least, I have found several lists of
Chess quotes on the Internet with the
quote worded this way.
Unfortunately, all websites refer to
the author of this quote as anonymous.
