I read long ago about a Chess Master who objected the participation of Capablanca in the San Sebastian tournament of 1911.

Was it Aron Nimzovich, or Ossip Bernstein?

Thank you.

Dear viewer,

Doctor of Law Ossip Bernstein objected against the participation of Jose Capablanca on formal grounds: “This young man had never before participated in a master tournament.”

Well... Capablanca not only slaughtered Bernstein in the first round, but won the Tournament and the brilliancy prize of 500 francs for this game!!
