FIDE World Championship  •  Reykjavik, Iceland
August 24/25, 1972 / Game 18

Again, Bobby Fischer arrived punctual and moved e4 which Boris Spassky replied with c5. The Russians linked Spassky's erratic play with Fischer's chair. The Icelandic organization put a twenty four hour Police guard around the chair while x-ray and chemical tests were performed on the chair.  Nothing unusual was found. This Game ended in another hard fought draw, where both players had chances throughout the game.
