FIDE World Championship  •  Reykjavik, Iceland
July 13, 1972 / Game 2

Bobby Fischer lost game 2 by default. Match rules allowed one hour to start a game after the scheduled time. Fischer refused to play game two in protest to American Producer Chester Fox refusal to remove Movie and TV equipment that from the point of view of Fischer, caused noise and distracted them. The game was awarded to Spassky leading now by 2-0 points.  Fischer now must win three games and draw the rest to win the World title.
