June 21, 1999 at noon Pacific Time, World Champion Garry
Kasparov's first move (e4), began a unique and history making game
against the world's best Chess players through the Internet.
Suggested moves sent daily by the World Team via e-mail were
tabulated and the winning move was posted at noon on a live
website. Every other day, Garry Kasparov made his
move. On October 22, 1999 Kasparov defeats the World in 62
moves and after four exciting months of contest. |
