This Tournament took place at Hotel Potrero de los Funes Complex, Province of San Luis, Argentina. Participants included were GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov of Uzbekistan (World Champion), GM Michael Adams of England (runner-up of the Tripoli World Championship), GM Judit Polgar of Hungary, GM Peter Leko of Hungary, GM Peter Svidler of Russia, GM Vishy Anand of India, GM Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria, and GM Alexander Morozevich of Russia. Veselin Topalov won the match with his unsurpassable score of ten points out of fourteen games. This is Topalov's biggest achievement after beating legendary Gary Kasparov at Linares earlier this year.
