The Giuoco Piano Opening also known as the Italian Game, is a major branch of the double King-Pawn openings, and one of the oldest Chess openings that has been analyzed for many years. This opening has seen a revival recently, with both Anatoly Karpov and Garry Kasparov playing the white side.
